Drainage

I took this picture in late fall 2024. I was on my way home when I noticed a puddle of oil on the ground that was flowing like a river down the drain. Colorful and unnatural, it seemed alien, as if it came from another world. As I watched this movement, I noticed reflections of people walking through it. It was a strange combination and a sad realization. That perhaps this unearthly man-made world was also flowing quietly like a river down the drain. I waited a moment and took a photo.
